o        ***** Balever; Genter Marlaen (678) Lord of Balever.

§         His son Mondar (708) presently squired to Sir Tolas Garawe he is quite and reserved.  He is timid and worried about his future as a landholder.

o        ***** Urost; Lord Arek of Alren. This productive manor lies on the southern frontier of the barony of Selvos.  Urost is sub infeudated to Balever manor.  Urost borders the only significant stand of forest in the region and houses the only Timberwright within 5 leagues.

o        ***** Maldren; presently under the command of Sir Tolas of Garawe who holds this on behalf of Arek of Alren.  This manor represents the most recent expansion of the Barony of Selvos.

o        * Boba; Sir Rontris Flanzel 768; there has been little more than casual contact with Boba.

o        * Elidar;  Sir Lesus Elida 638;  one of the oldest living lords in Kanday he has outlived his heirs and attends few of the caffairs of court.  Urost has had no contact.

o        *** Erkuba; Sir Eldan Chahryn (Baliff) 675;  The Earls second eldest son.  He is highly educated and VERY well traveled.  He maintains a large personal library.  He is on good terms with Urost and is impressed by their exploits.  It is not uncommon to stop by his monar of the nobles of Urost on their way to Balever.

o        ** Gebasath; Sir Noani Julander (778) baliff and brother to the brother in law of the Earl.

o        * Geffin; Sir Hynrae Inkathy 659; a bit of a miser and reclusive.  The PC’s have only met at court but have had little interest in further conversations.

o        **** Hemhur; Sir Araig Wardotte (781), operates the largest herd of sheep in the region at over 1500 head.  The manor is very wealthy and he maintains constant vigilance to the east.  He has 3 knighted sons as well as 8 men at arms and 6 yeoman.  He also maintains kennels with some of the best hunting and war dogs in the area.  Urost has had numerous dealings and have found themselves greeted as friends.  Araig has sent generous gifts to Lord Arek in the past and recently provided some of the finest wool blankets for a wedding gift.  Sir Araig and Sir Arek are often seen together with Sir Lazcaver at Terna.  The 3 are becoming quite close.  When Sir Tolas has time he to joins the 3.

o        * Jazo;  Sir Syliam Delreyn 662; The manor is known to be overflowing with children as Syliam has fathers 22 children legally.  His eldest daughter Mysrin at 42 is a grandmother.  It is well known he is broke and on the edge of ruin.  Also known to be a man of his word.

o        ** Minter; Sir Poryn Sythen (Baliff) 772; Prryn is a well connected noble and the brother of Sir Temelins first wife.  The two have been on ill terms of late and Poryn is said to suspect Temilin of having killed his his sister.  Sir Poryn has recently employed a new chamberlain, Wereda Dasethyn.  The PC’s have been privy to some of these ill spoken conversations that result in Poryn leaving the castle.

§         Strange Savoryan Hermit Lady

o        * Ondravy; Sir Lumede of Arindel 690;  Other than occasions at court Lumende has had little interaction with Urost.  A wart on his nose leaves him quite self conscious and has resulted in more than one duel.

o        *** Paldur; Sir Orkan Chahryn (Bailiff) 695; A nephew to the Earl and the youngest son of Sir Owain Chahryn.  Urost has spent some hours in court and in council with Orkan.

o        * Ryvila; Sir Shorian Nrquen 667;  little contact with Urost.

o        ** Sheveth; Sir Deni Spondyner 673; Married to Lady Sindra the two are one of the best known nobles in the area next to the Earl.  They were sent on behalf of the king after the war to rebuild the region.  Arek and Tolas have been sent invitations to dine with them but to date time has not permitted such pleasantries.   Their only son, Sir Keri 693 is captain of the Royal Low Guard in Dyrisa.  They have a daughter Sherena 701  who is said to be next in line to succeed them as Sir Keri has abdicated his intention to inherit.

o        * Nidown; Sir Frankh Tortora (Bailiff) 688;  other than a bull of a man who is known for his prowess at arms the group at Urost has had little interaction.

o        **** Terna: Lord Juld Lazcaver (670) A friendly lord whose manor lies just a short walk north of Urost.  His wife spends most of her time in Selvos and is quite the spender.  They have 2 sons, one who runs Vime and a younger son, Meriet.  The Lord is becoming a good friend of Urost.  Arek and Juld have become good friends and often hunt and discuss matters of local politics.  Recently a cousin of the Lord, Clements of Dosforyn has been staying with them.

o        ** Vime; Sir Tristan Lazcaver (Bailiff) 694; The son of Juld and Lady Rilea at Terna. His wife, Rosanna, and him spend a great deal of time in Selvos at the familly townhouse.

o        * Tiney;  Lady Ezibel Ulander 700; She is the only surviving offspring of the former lord.  An excellent shot with a bow and a shrewd administrator she manages one of the best built manors in the area.  Other than in passing Urost has only met her at the occasional social gathering.

o        * Trilby; Sir Klyrel Porisand 688; generates a good living off of the quarry near his manor.  With the find of good stone near Urost he has petitioned that the quarry not be opened as it is uneccessary.  It is believed that he has influenced the guilds to move slowly in operating a new quarry.

o        * Wintessa; Sir Mordan Grallin 673; little contact from this less financially stable lord.

o        * Ilkur; Sir Ebern of Basfon (Bailiff); a poor an over run manor.  It’s close proximity to the mines leaves it without timber and constant desertion by serfs.  Other than a couple of social occasions contact is non existent.

o        * Erinath; Sir Andus Dictur 684;  one of the 2 manors held by the Checkered Shield they continue to butt heads with the secular lords of theregion.

o        *** Grelda; Sir Mikal Kur (777) is the Reblena of this Laranian chapterhouse.  He is of good humor and temperament but a seasoned warrior.  He is managing the construction of the new stronghold on the Rethemi border.  Sir Tamel Alren and Sir Mikal have a growing bond.  The first time in some years Sir Tamel has found a worthy lord and mentor.

o        ** Kesethy; Sir Cledan Dosyna 677; The Bailiff of the Hundred and a disliked character of the area.  Constantly levying taxes and operating.   The rumor by some is that he over taxes the lords and is pocketng the difference.

·         NPC’s of Urost/Maldren

o         Balrin 654; a peonian priest who manages to tend to his flock at Maldren Manor.  He is the self elected reeve, profet and council to Sir Tolas.  He manages with a limp and a missing arm, the price to be a peonian priest in Rethem.

o        Lardrid of Thowalt 693, chamberlain of Urost.  A Save Knorrian priest he is literate and highly educated. He operates the manor to the most detailed level.
